Deacons
The
Heart of Geneva
The office of
Deacon is one of sympathy, witness and service after the example of Jesus
Christ. Deacons are people of spiritual character, honest
repute, brotherly and sisterly love, warm sympathies and sound judgment.
The responsibilities of deacons at Geneva include:
- Ministering to a small group of people in a geographical parish
- Visiting members who are hospitalized or ill
- Taking flowers or communion to the homebound
- Arranging for meals or transportation in emergency situation
Geneva currently has over 50 deacons serving the needs of our members and the surrounding community. They are listed below. If you’re not sure which deacon serves your parish, please call the church at 949-837-2323. Your deacon would love to get to know you and help you in any way they can.
