Preschool through Grade 6
Sunday Morning
Each Sunday morning of the year there is a Bible-based Sunday school class for your child at both the 9:30 and 11:00 services. The curriculum of the Sunday program is designed to cover a basic Bible overview in three to five years.
9:30 AM
Preschool - Three-year-olds are welcome in our preschool room, where they learn Bible stories through games, drama and crafts.
Children four years old through Kindergarten are invited to participate in our Young Children and Worship program. This program offers them a worship service of their own. Based on the Montessori Method of education, the program teaches children basic worship skills, such as quietly listening to a "sermon" taught with wooden figurines, singing and praying. Each child is sent home with an individual blessing of their own, given by their teacher. It's a wonderful introduction to adult worship.
1st
through 4th Grade - Students this age enjoy Rotation Model Sunday School, a fun way of learning about the Bible through music, drama, storytelling, art, games, science and cooking! Classes vary every week, making Sundays fun and exciting.
Club
5/6 - This is a unique class just for 5th and 6th graders during the 9:30 service, designed to help prepare kids for the Middle School program. Bible study and crafts are mixed with basic theology making for a more challenging environment.
11:00 AM
Preschool – Three and four year olds are welcome in our preschool room, where they learn Bible stories through games, drama, music and crafts. A different curriculum is used so children attending both services will have a different experience.
Kindergarten and First Grade - The foundation of Bible stories and prayer, taught in a fun way with a little added depth, is continued.
2nd through 6th Grade – Meet together for Bible lessons, music, crafts and fun during the first part of each church year. Fifth and sixth graders will meet in their own class in January of each year to provide more in-depth teaching and fun.

Midweek LOGOS
Wednesday
Afternoon/Evening, 4:15 - 7:30 PM
October
through May
LOGOS is a midweek program designed for ministry
to children, youth and their families.
It
is a retreat-every-week that provides
all of the dynamics of a good camp program. The
four-part evening includes:
Recreation - outdoor/indoor games and crafts
Bible Study - learning about the Lord in
a fun and fresh
new way
Worship
Skills -
singing, acting,
ringing bells,
banner making
Family
Dinnertime - Old-fashioned values
at the table with
a home-cooked menu served family-style, shared prayers and post-dinner
game time
One of the cornerstones of the LOGOS program is parent participation.
All parents
must attend an annual parent meeting and at least one parent per family is expected to participate in
one of the four areas of the program. However, not all areas require weekly involvement. Rotation varies,
so check the many options. This commitment and effort on behalf of pastors, staff, church officers AND
parents is what makes LOGOS one of the finest programs of Christian nurture for children and youth available
today. Our kids love it and yours will, too!

Pumpkin Carnival
An old-fashioned fall harvest party complete with games, food and a costume parade,
which our Middle and High School kids put on for smaller children. This
October event features old standbys such as a cake walk and fishing booth, as well as the new kid favorite "carrot crunch", where
you have to try to pound a moving carrot with a mallet. Bring your kids and your appetite!
Advent
Celebration
The Sunday before Thanksgiving, adults and children gather for an evening of
making holiday crafts and decorating the sanctuary for the Christmas season.
Dinner is provided. The highlight of the evening is carol singing in the sanctuary
and singing "Silent Night" under the stars in the courtyard.
Easter
Egg Hunt and Barbecue
Each Palm Sunday kids of all ages delight in the annual egg hunt in the courtyard,
followed by an old-fashioned barbecue.
Father/Daughter
Dinner
Fathers and daughters get to enjoy dinner together followed by a special speaker
or musical act, or both! However, the highlight of this annual Spring event
is the awards ceremony. Bring your appetite and your sense of humor to this
highly anticipated event.
Retreats
and Camps
(Summer (week-long) Winter (weekend only))
Camps are a vital part of the youth ministry at Geneva. Beginning in third grade,
students can get away from their everyday schedules in a safe and nurturing environment,
grow in their relationship with God and build lifelong friendships.
Vacation Bible School (VBS)
(Summer - Last week of July)
Where can you ride a zebra, or run in an Olympic event
and learn about God at the same time? You guessed it, Vacation Bible School. For
kids age four through sixth grade, five mornings a week, Geneva transforms into
whatever the theme may be, to create an exciting, fun-filled way for children
to experience God's love through song, crafts, games and stories. Even the snacks
are creative! Here's a photo gallery of 2007's VBS activities and a slide show presentation (below).

Summer Drama Camp
Geneva is thrilled to make the wonderful world of musical theater come
alive for kids. Children as young as five can participate in this week-long,
morning program which culminates with a performance Friday morning in front of
a live audience.
Geneva's
drama camps are lead by Kathleen Chapman and Nancy Matossian. The original
musicals are written and directed by Kathleen and are tailored for each
cast. Nancy is a professional choreographer and co-directs. Not only do
Kathleen and Nancy produce a musical theater experience through a fun learning
environment pleasing to the Lord, they also know children, and are experts
at identifying the level of participation that s comfortable for your
child.
