Presented by: The Covenant Network of Presbyterians
Hosted by: Geneva Presbyterian Church
Join us for practical workshops, rich worship and meaningful presentations that will strengthen your ministry!
The Covenant Network of Presbyterians is undertaking a new effort in partnership with congregations around the country to speak a hopeful and helpful word into anxious times for church and society. Issues of immigration, human sexuality, economic disparity, health care and religious freedom are begging the church to take inclusion seriously, in words and deeds.
Workshops that may be offered, depending on those receiving the most interest through registration, include:
Navigating Difficult Conversations: How to talk about controversial things in helpful ways
Leading Change: Church transformation in an evolving church environment
“Religious Freedom”: A look at one of today's hottest public policy issues
The basics of welcoming, affirming and creating safe space in your church
LGBTQIA 101: Talking about Sexuality Orientation and Gender Issues
Sexuality and the Bible: What the Bible says -- and does not say -- about human sexuality
The mission of the Covenant Network of Presbyterians is to strengthen the church of Jesus Christ, with the help of God's grace.
We are called to achieve this goal by working for the unity of the church, furthering the inclusion of LGBTQ persons, seeking understanding and reconciliation, and joining with others seeking a still more just and inclusive church.
