WORSHIP REOPEN
In-person worship resumes May 9th!
Sorry, adult, children and youth Sunday classes will remain on Zoom until further notice.
Praise the Lord!
We are thrilled to announce the return of in-person worship at Geneva. While this is certainly praiseworthy, things will not quite be "back to normal". Whether a Geneva member, regular attender or future guest, read on to learn what to expect as we take the first step into or post-pandemic future.

BEFORE
-
Registration: In order to manage capacity limits, attendees will need to register before attending every service. This may be done on this page, genevapres.org/reopen, or through the Geneva Church Center app.
-
Children: Children of all ages should remain in the care of those in their household unit and not interact with children of other parties at any time while visiting facilities. Play areas will be closed.
-
Cleaning: The Sanctuary will be fully sanitized prior to worship and hand sanitizer stations will be available at the church entrance.
-
Screening: Volunteers will screen attendees upon entry into the sanctuary which will include a temperature check, screening questions for symptoms and ensuring a face covering is used.
-
Check-In: Registered worship attenders will need to check in upon entry into the sanctuary. This will be done at a kiosk with the help of a volunteer or attenders can self-check through the Geneva Church Center App.
-
Seating: Once inside, pews will be marked to ensure 6' distancing between households. Ushers will be available to assist.
DURING
-
Distancing: In addition to the 6' distancing between households mentioned above, there will be no hugging, handshaking or or other close contact. Worship leadership on the chancel will also remain 6' apart.
-
Masks: Cloth face coverings are to be worn at all times both indoors and outdoors, including those who have already been vaccinated. This applies to worship leaders as well.
-
No Printed Bulletin: Because no shared objects are allowed, the large screen in the sanctuary will replace the printed In Community With (ICW) bulletin. The ICW will be available for download to personal devices through the website and the Geneva Church Center app.
-
Giving: The offering plate will not be passed but we encourage online giving through genevapres.org/giving or through the Geneva Church Center app.
-
Communion: We are still working how to do communion service safely. We'll keep you posted.
-
Music: Congregational singing is allowed outdoors only. Music "performers" must wear face coverings when indoors. Pre-recorded videos will continue to be used at times.
AFTER
-
Distancing: Must be maintained while exiting.
-
Courtyard Café: Is suspended at this time.
-
Cleaning: The facility will be cleaned/sanitized between our service and the Irvine Taiwanese Presbyterian Church (ITPC) service which begins at 11:30am.
