Why do you need to take my temperature?
The Guidelines for Places of Worship developed by the CDPH and CalOSHA require that “Congregants/visitors should be screened for temperature and/or symptoms upon arrival to places of worship and asked to use hand sanitizer.”
Q:
A:
Why can’t we sing?
Studies on the aerosolization and spread of the coronavirus have shown that singing presents an increased risk of spreading the disease. The CDC and CDPH developed guidelines that include restrictions on singing, chanting, and wind instruments in worship to mitigate the risk. As of this writing the guidelines are in process of being updated. You can find the latest information at the California Blueprint Industry Guidance website.

What about communion?
The celebration of the Lord’s Supper is a very important part of our Christian worship. The Geneva worship staff and elders are exploring ways to safely share the elements.
