What will the new Sunday worship schedule look like?
On-campus worship in the sanctuary will be at 9:00 am. Livestream worship on YouTube and Facebook will be at 10:30am. Replays of the previous weeks’ livestream will continue to be broadcast on Village TV at 10:30am.

Do I have to wear a mask?
Yes, everyone in attendance is required to wear a cloth face covering. Those who are unable to wear a cloth face covering are encouraged to participate with us in online worship.

What if I am fully vaccinated?
You still must follow all protocols and observe mask and distancing requirements.

What does “fully vaccinated” mean?
A person is considered “fully vaccinated” 2 weeks after they have received their last COVID-19 vaccination shot. For vaccines requiring 1 dose that would be 2 weeks after receiving the shot. For vaccines requiring 2 doses that would be 2 weeks after receiving the second dose.

Why do you need to take my temperature?
The Guidelines for Places of Worship developed by the CDPH and CalOSHA require that “Congregants/visitors should be screened for temperature and/or symptoms upon arrival to places of worship and asked to use hand sanitizer.”

Why can’t we sing?
Studies on the aerosolization and spread of the coronavirus have shown that singing presents an increased risk of spreading the disease. The CDC and CDPH developed guidelines that include restrictions on singing, chanting, and wind instruments in worship to mitigate the risk. As of this writing the guidelines are in process of being updated. You can find the latest information at the California Blueprint Industry Guidance website.

What about communion?
The celebration of the Lord’s Supper is a very important part of our Christian worship. The Geneva worship staff and elders are exploring ways to safely share the elements.

How will I be able to follow the liturgy without a bulletin?
Everything you need will be shown on the screen. There will also be a downloadable bulletin that you can access through your personal device (smartphone or tablet). The ushers will be trained to assist you to access the digital bulletin on your device upon request.

Why do I need to make a reservation to attend worship?
The California Blueprint for a Safer Economy sets capacity limits for Places of Worship based on the current Tier Framework level of the county. To ensure we stay within the proscribed limits we need to take reservations. Reservations will also assist us in notifying you if we become aware of a possible COVID-19 exposure.

What is the Church Center App and how do I get it?
The Church Center App is a convenient way to connect to Geneva from your mobile phone. See the bottom of this page for an App description, illustration and a link to download from either the Apple Store or the Google Play Store. When you open the App for the first time you can either search for Geneva or allow the app to use your device location and confirm that you are at Geneva.

Do I need to register every week or can I do multiple registrations at once?
You need to register weekly.

Can I make a reservation for my family?
Yes, you can add household members and friends to your reservation.

Is there a deadline to register each week?
Yes. You must register by midnight the Saturday before the service you would like to attend.

How will I know my registration has been received?
You will receive a confirmation email immediately after you register. If you do not receive this email, or do not have an email address, call the church office during office hours at 949-837-2323 to confirm.

What if I don’t have a reservation, can I still attend worship?
As long as the current capacity limits will not be exceeded you will be welcome to attend.
