Since 1975, more than one-and-a-half-million people in more than 13,000 congregations across the United States, Canada and other countries have received one-to-one, Christian care from a Stephen Minister.  Stephen Ministers are laypeople trained to walk beside the bereaved, hospitalized, terminally ill, separated, divorced, unemployed, relocated, and others facing a crisis or life challenge.
