Traditional worship at Geneva embraces our tradition as Presbyterians which focuses on the liturgy from The Book of Common Worship. Liturgy is a technical term for “an order of worship components.”
A traditional order of worship encompasses a call to worship, prayer of adoration, prayer of confession, hymns, scripture readings from the Old and New Testaments, choir anthem, a sermon, an affirmation of faith, the sacraments (baptism and the Lord’s Supper), and benediction. Communion is celebrated fifteen times a year.
